Charbel Bouez is a photographer, a movie maker and producer with a unique eye for the hidden esthetics. Through his professional training, his passion for adventure and love of nature, the Lebanese photographer developed a unique style in searching and communicating the beauty that surrounds us. His photography reveals a compassionate understanding of his subjects and a continuous exploration of the art itself. He has captured people, landscapes and cultures from Madagascar, Egypt, Ethiopia, Jordan, Morocco, Soudan, Sri Lanka, Syria, Turkey, UAE, Bosnia, France, Spain, Italy, UK, Nepal, Brazil and of course Lebanon, his home country.
Whether he is capturing nature or the human life, Bouez’s constant search for beauty is very present in his work where his photography and movies transcends from a mere artistic pleasure to a message against violence, ugliness and all the negativity that are burdening the world. In his current work, he focuses on Lebanon as a subject. Convinced of its potential he worked on several projects with the ministry of Tourism to promote his country abroad. “Let’s not see ugliness around us, beauty is everywhere in Lebanon waiting to be captured” explains the young photographer.
The white face of Lebanon, and Lebanon through my eyes, to name a few as well as documentaries and commercials that were showcased on international channels. In 2015, he represented Lebanon at the prestigious Expo Milano 2015. In 2016 he was among the few to have the chance participate to Milano International Art Fair, and Luxembourg International Art Fair.
